Ropeconin myyntisali on lähes koko conin historian ajan halunnut tarjota harrastajille mahdollisuuksia tehdä mitä erilaisimpia nörttihankintoja parantamaan niin kodinsisustusta kuin peli-iltojakin. Pitkään Ropeconin myyntisali tarjosi yhdenlaisia paikkoja, niin kutsuttuja myyjäpaikkoja, joihin erityisesti yritykset ilmoittautuvat myymään tuotteitaan. Joitakin vuosia sitten tarjontamme laajeni taiteilijatorin merkeissä. 

Taiteilijatori on ollut erityisesti aloitteilijoille, pientoimijoille ja käsityöläisille suunniteltu vaihtoehto, joka tarjosi edullista myyntitilaa valmiina paketteina, ja sopi monenlaiselle pientoimijalle. Suuri ero näissä kahdessa on ollut erityisesti valintaprosessissa: taiteilijatorin toimijat on raaditettu ja kuratoitu sopimaan teemaan, Ropeconiin ja kävijöiden toiveisiin, myyntisalin tarjotessa laajan valikoiman erilaisia kaupallisia toimijoita. Hakijoiden määrä taiteilijatorille on kasvanut vuosi vuodelta, ja olemme joutuneet jo useana vuonna hylkäämään upeita toimijoita tilarajoitteiden vuoksi.

Olemme kuunnelleet palautetta voidaksemme kehittää myyntisalia entisestään, ja esittelemmekin tänä vuonna uuden myyjäryhmän: artesaanimyyjät!

Artesaanimyyjät ovat vakiintuneita pientoimijoita, jotka tarvitsevat tilaa yhden pöytäpaikan (3mx2m) verran. Artesaanimyyjäksi sopivat henkilöt, jotka myyvät itsetuotettua taidetta tai käsityötä. 

Mihin ja miten haen?

Kaikkien myyjäluokkien myyntipaikkahaku aukeaa Kompassissa 3.4.2025. Haku ei vaadi kompassin kirjautumista.

Suosittelemme hakemaan myyjähaussa, jos:

• Tiedät tarvitsevasi yhtä pöytää suuremman paikan.
• Olet jälleenmyyjä/maahantuoja, eli et valmista tuotteitasi itse
• Olet muu toimija, joka ei koe valikoiman tai myyntitarpeen vuoksi istuvan artesaani- tai taiteilijatoripaikalle

Suosittelemme hakemaan artesaanihaussa, jos:

• Haluat yhden pöydän kokoisen rivipaikan
• Olet käsityöläinen, taiteilija tai vastaava pientoimija
• Myyt omia tai esimerkiksi taidekollektiivin tuotteita
• Valikoimasi laajuus ja varasto mahdollistaa koko viikonlopun aikaisen myynnin
• Koet olevasi vakiintunut toimija, jonka tuotteet laadullisesti ja teemallisesti sopivat Ropeconiin

Suosittelemme hakemaan taiteilijatorihaussa, jos:

• Olet uusi tai ei-vakiintunut myyjä
• Olet hakeutumassa ensi kertaa myymään tai teet myyntiä satunnaisesti
• Myyt omaa tai itsevalmistettua taidetta tai käsitöitä
• Haluat viikonloppua lyhyemmän myyntiajan (esim. 1pv)

Artesaani- ja taiteilijatoripaikkahakemuksiin vaaditaan ajantasainen portfolio, joka linkitetään hakemukseen. Raadituksen perustuessa portfolioon on kriittistä, että hakija varmistaa portfolionsa toimivuuden ennen lomakkeen lähetystä.

Ropecon pidättää oikeuden tarvittaessa siirtää hakijoita hakijaluokasta toiseen, mikäli se on myyntipaikan koon tai muun syyn vuoksi välttämätöntä. Hakulomakkeen lähettäminen ei takaa varmistettua paikkaa Ropeconin myyntisalissa, vaan hakijat raaditetaan. Portfolioraaditus tehdään voidaksemme varmistaa, että Ropeconin myyntisali tarjoaa tapahtumaan sopivaa, laadukasta ja arvojemme mukaista tuotevalikoimaa. 

Huomioithan, että artesaani- ja taiteillijatorimyynnissä ei sallita AI-taiteen myyntiä missään muodossa. Jokainen Ropeconin myyntisalissa myyvä toimija sitoutuu myös noudattamaan Ropeconin myyntiehtoja sekä voimassa olevia lakeja ja asetuksia.

Taiteilijatorin sekä artesaanien haku päättyy 20.4. klo 23:59. Raadituksen tulokset ilmoitetaan hakijoille 11.5. mennessä. Paikka tulee ottaa vastaan 18.5. mennessä.

Myyjähaku sen sijaan pysyy auki toukokuun loppuun asti tai siihen asti, että tarjottava myyntitila on täytetty. Hakemukset myyjäpaikoille käsitellään saapumisjärjestyksessä. Rajatuissa poikkeustapauksissa saatamme pystyä käsittelemään myöhässä tulleita hakemuksia, mutta emme voi taata varmaa myyntipaikkaa mikäli kysely myyntipaikasta lähetetään hakuajan päättymisen jälkeen.

Voit odotellessa tutustua viime vuoden ehtoihin, mutta huomioithan, että ne eivät välttämättä vastaa täysin tämän vuoden todellisuutta.

New vendor selection process coming for vendor hall!

The vendor hall at Ropecon has, for almost the entire history of the convention aimed to provide our attendees with opportunities to make various purchases on countless nerdy topics. A few years ago, our offerings expanded with the introduction of the Artist Alley.

The Artist Alley has been designed especially for beginners, small vendors, and crafters, offering affordable sales space in ready-made packages. The main difference between the vendors and artist alley sellers has been particularly in the selection process: participants in the Artist Alley have been vetted and curated to fit in, while the sales area has been offering a wide range of different more established vendors. During past few years, the applicant numbers for artist alley have been steadily increasing, leading us to a situation where we have had to leave out multiple amazing artists while vetting due to the space constraints.

We have listened to feedback to further develop the vendor hall, and this year we present a new vendor group: artisan vendors!

Artisan vendors are established small operators who need space for a single table-size space (3m x 2m). Persons suitable for being artisan vendors sell self-produced art or handicrafts.

Where and when should I apply?

Applications for all vendor categories will open in Kompassi on April 3rd 2025. Applying does not require signing in.

We recommend applying with the traditional vendor application if:

– You know you need a space larger than one table.

– You are a reseller/importer, meaning you do not make your products yourself.

– You are another type of operator who does not feel suited for an artisan or Artist Alley space due to your selection or sales needs.

We recommend applying in the artisan application if:

• You want a row space the size of one table.
• You are a craftsman, artist, or similar small business.
• You sell your own products or products from, for example, an art collective.Y
• our selection and stock allows for sales throughout the weekend.
• You consider yourself an established operator whose products fit in Ropecon.

We recommend applying in the Artist Alley application if:

• You are a new or non-established seller.
• You are applying to sell for the first time or sell occasionally.
• You sell your own or self-made art or handicrafts.
• You want a shorter sales time than the weekend (e.g., 1 day).

Applications for artisan and Artist Alley spaces require an up-to-date portfolio to be linked to the application. Since the selection will be based on the portfolio, it is critical for the applicant to ensure their portfolio is functional before submitting the form.

Ropecon reserves the right to transfer applicants between categories if necessary. Sending the application form does not guarantee a confirmed space in Ropecon’s sales area, as applicants will be vetted. The portfolio vetting is done to ensure that Ropecon’s sales area offers a product selection that is suitable for the event, high quality, and in line with our values.

Please note that the sale of material generated with AI in any form is not permitted in artisan and Artist Alley sales. Every operator selling in Ropecon’s sales area also commits to following Ropecon’s sales conditions and applicable laws and regulations.

Artist Alley and artisans application period will end on April 20th at 11:59 PM. The results of the vetting will be reported to applicants by May 11th. The space must be accepted by May 18th.

On the other hand, the applications for traditional vendor spaces will be accepted until the end of May or until the available slots have been filled. Applications for vendor spots will be processed in the order they are received. In limited exceptional cases, we may be able to process late applications, but we cannot guarantee a sales spot if an inquiry about sales space is sent after the application period has ended.
